Gilmer Goes Storybook Take 3

Here we go again...for Wednesday Vicki chose everyone's favorite 1st grader, Junie B Jones-we all had to be very careful with what we said to her because she was carrying around some serious 'tude...she yelled at Candice because the daisy in her Daisy Head Maisy outfit was crooked, and it scared Camille so much she couldn't eat her lima beans so she came down with A Bad Case of the Stripes, and Judy was so startled that she became the The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly...apparently Heather and Becky found this all very amusing, but the mood quickly changed (post-photograph) when Heather needed Judy's spider for a spell she was working on, but was denied, and a lady walked by and accused Becky of portraying Huck Finn, as opposed to the actual Tom Sawyer she was aiming for...jeez, will this staff ever be the same after all this? I think not.

peace out, Gilmer :)

Here's another Gilmer get-up for National Children's Book Week. We have Vicki dressed up as Pippi Longstocking, though she was often mistaken for the Wendy's girl (or Carrottop before he went crazy with plastic surgery and steroids); Candice could not have been happier about dressing as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz; Jane is rocking the Fancy Nancy gear, but, unfortunately, wound up with a strange feather-shedding problem, at which point she had to be put down...we told her she could come back when the molting season has ended; Judy played the perfect part of Amelia Bedelia, but whenever anyone said cheese, she kept running off to get more crackers; and then there was Heather...though she was referred as Harry Potter time and again, she kept insisting that she was in fact not this Potter kid, but that they went to the same school...

peace out, Gilmer :)

HI All, after talking to our Network engineer, or downtime for the weekend should be very minimal if at all, so it is work as usual.
During the day, I will call branches to inform them of possible downtime as it pertains to circulation and the pac. As for Canton, I will be onsite to inform them of downtime as it pertains to circ and Internet. Any downtime at all will most likely occur on Saturday after lunch.
Keep in mind, all locations should be prepared to switch to other options such as server down or wordpad upon request.
